Sky Video-on-Demand

Sky asked Random Media to pitch for the design of their video-on-demand software that was in development. Sky planned to offer their entire back catalogue of films for download, with a view to expanding the service into other areas such as sport.

I designed a very simple navigation system that was stripped right back to it’s bare essentials. The design allowed a subscriber to customise their interface, set-up user accounts and browse for content they might not know existed using a tag-linking system (”if you liked this, you may also like…”).

Manning Gottlieb OMD, media buyers, asked Random Media to help generate novel branding ideas for their (then) new approach 'Seeing the future of advertising'.

We proposed to have actual oil paintings produced in a traditional style, but given a modern twist based around their proposal. We would then use these paintings as a starting point for the companies other branded elements such as the website. I produced mock-ups of possible oil paintings and showed how they could be carried through into other mediums.

A quickly turned around piece of pitch work for the Swarovski brand, designing their new online presence. Maybe I'm un-cultured but I had presumed Swarovski just made those naff little crystal animals, I soon learned this wasn't just the case. With fashion and product design being just two of the other areas they branch out into.

Using existing Swarovski images I produced a simple design that reflected the brands feeling of elegance and sophistication
